As numerous organisations are encountering DevOps and put into practise, ensuring the execution and result of DevOps are inevitable in maintaining the highly effective collaboration along the way. Organisations must draw up a stream with different objectives in reflecting business and technological performance. DevOps takes the role in assisting the company nimbler in articulating different problems encountered. The transformation in applying DevOps is owing to promote the collaboration among the development and operation departments. Automation starts from scatter parts of the project and evolves to a more concentrate with correlation infrastructural automation. Cooperation with different departments are required and an adjusted management method should be implemented by team leaders.
In this stage, different departments should be mature in DevOps approach. Collaboration among development, operation, security should gradually be seamless and result in to complement one another. The remaining commands and controls in the development should be replaced. The other criteria in proving the maturity of DevOps is the fluency in command of automation. Departments must cooperate and standardize the process which ensure colleagues follow the same fundament in DevOps. Team members should take part in DevOps implementation trainings and turn DevOps into everyone’s familiarized stream.
Companies are required to collect and analyze data and keep track on the work schedule towards development, business and operation. At this stage of DevOps transformation roadmap, gaining foreseeability and visibility should be the objective in improving the performance and quality. Data collection and analysis can also reflect the efficiency and quality of daily work, thereby remediation can be implemented in order to improve the workings of the company.
The company has already mastered DevOps and able to share DevOps knowledge. Team members should have confidence in making decisions, while it is not the moment to stop. Refining and optimizing continuously in DevOps lifecycle, security and operations are still required.
